
Breaking Free From the Familiar
Frequently, within the comfort of our familiar environment, achieving clarity can be a challenge. However, when the usual routines and constants in our lives are temporarily set aside, it becomes possible to view life from a broader perspective and engage more deeply in our personal healing journey. Furthermore, being away from our homes grants us respite from the constant worries of daily responsibilities, affording us a broader capacity to concentrate on self-care. This past week, I joined a dear client and colleague in Mount Shasta for an incredible transformational journey within.
Take That Leap
A year ago I was given a new book idea. And, I didn’t want to write it. I knew it was a story that needed to be told yet, instead, I asked God, can’t I write something else? Perhaps something lighter, more cheery? I intuitively heard back, “You have already written that. It’s time for this.”
My reaction? Well, let’s just say it wasn’t the most enthusiastic. Yes, my response to the Divine, the Almighty Spirit, presenting me with the conception of a book was, well, rather dismissive.
Embracing the Current: Going with the Flow, Letting Go, and Letting God
When your plans go sideways, getting upset or frustrated is easy. With almost every planet in retro right now (an astrology thing) not much is moving forward until mid-September. The energy is shifting very quickly. In the past, I referred to our daily energy shifts as the ‘energy cocktail of the day.’ Now, the planetary energy is shifting, not every hour, but by the MINUTE! In all its beauty and complexity, life often presents us with unexpected twists and turns. Navigating these twists can be both exhilarating and daunting.

The energies have been intense this past month! Whew! At times it felt like I was moving through sludge! If you are even the slightest bit energy sensitive, you also feel it. What makes you successful?
I was recently asked that question while flying to my niece’s wedding. The gentleman sitting next to me on the plane travels often and said he asks everyone he sits next to that question.
Before I answered him, I thought, “I wonder why he thinks I’m successful?” 🤔
And then, I answered the first word that popped into my head, perseverance—the ability to keep going when you get knocked down. I often feel like I’m failing, and I continue to keep going anyway. Most days, I feel like one of the wobbling weebles that gets blown over and pops back up!

In the journey of life, there are times when we may find ourselves feeling disassociated from our body, life, and even our relationships with friends. What to do When You are Feeling Down
We are living in unparalleled times. If we continue focusing on the scary negative, we will surely see even more of that. Lately, I noticed I was feeling more down. An endless stream of sadness everywhere I turned. Cancer in young ones, honking angry people, and frustration that ‘things’ don’t look how I want them to look. I know the drill. When I’m feeling extra down, it’s time to regroup. Remember SSS! STOP, SURRENDER to the moment, and SWITCH the story. STOP. Stop and go inward. I take a few deep breaths calming my nervous system, and STOP whatever mind tunnel I’m allowing myself to go down. SURRENDER. Surrender to the NOW moment.
Create Space in Your Life
I’ve mentioned before for a while now I’ve been praying that I follow the highest divine design of my life. You may have been with me online or in our monthly group, Elevate, when we’ve done this together. There is no question that things shift when we sincerely ask for this. People and circumstances most often leave your life, sometimes even abruptly. Things may not always look or feel great when you are going through this shift of letting go. Although you’re surprised when it does happen, in the long run, you look back and can generally see the WHY. I continually remind myself, though, that nothing is ever wasted!
