What to do When You are Feeling Down

We are living in unparalleled times. If we continue focusing on the scary negative, we will surely see even more of that. Lately, I noticed I was feeling more down. An endless stream of sadness everywhere I turned. Cancer in young ones, honking angry people, and frustration that ‘things’ don’t look how I want them to look. I know the drill. When I’m feeling extra down, it’s time to regroup. Remember SSS! STOP, SURRENDER to the moment, and SWITCH the story. STOP. Stop and go inward. I take a few deep breaths calming my nervous system, and STOP whatever mind tunnel I’m allowing myself to go down. SURRENDER. Surrender to the NOW moment.

Everything is energy. Everything is made of energy and HOLDS energy. You feel the energy when you walk into a room and know exactly WHERE to go. WHO to talk to. You have spidey-senses that you use even if you don’t know you are using them. So, when people sleep in a bed for a long time or use a pillow, sit in a chair or a couch, or use a dresser (yes, you 👉antique hunters out there I’m talking to YOU)— the item SOAKS UP THEIR ENERGY.

It might be messy, it may even be painful, but you are on YOUR path. What triggers you and makes you go from 0 to 100 in nothing flat? What exactly are triggers? To be triggered is to experience an emotional or physical reaction to something. People could trigger us. A smell. A place. A substance. It could be anything that is a reminder of something intense that happened to us.
