lara jaye energy blocking
For the last 3 weeks I’ve been ✈️ between Sarasota, FL, and Austin, TX hanging with my kids, an incredible SOLD-OUT event @ Salt of the Earth, product photos of new fun stuff coming soon, and lots of writing of my next book. I will post some of the highlights in the next couple of days.

Today, though, I wanted to show you what my hotel room looks like after I redecorated it with towels so I could SLEEP! I’ve posted before about traveling as a sensitive person. You can read that post on my site: https://larajaye.com/pillow-talk/

At home, I do not have a TV, screens or mirrors in my bedroom, and try to keep electronics to a minimum in this sacred place. The first night in this particular hotel room, I couldn’t sleep. I felt like I was being bounced around all night. As I looked around the room, although the ‘energy’ was clean and clear, there was a considerable TV overlooking the bed and two mirrors on each side of the bed.

According to Feng Shui, a mirror in your bedroom could be the culprit if you aren’t sleeping well. Mirrors are thought to bounce energy around the bedroom, which may result in restlessness and amplify worries. Also, insomnia and nightmares. Aside from that, the personal energy of the person sleeping in front of the mirror will be depleted. It’s important not to hang a mirror on the wall opposite your bed. Feng Shui consultants say this can even promote the intrusion of a third party into a couple’s relationship! According to Taoism, mirrors and tv/screens are also portals into the unknown. When we are sleeping and dreaming, we are more susceptible to entering into other worlds. Thus, an open portal could invite spirits (good or bad) into your home.

Check it out for yourself next time you are in a room with mirrors or screens. Cover them up and see if you don’t sleep better! 🥂to a happy night’s sleep! 💤🥱
